BTB was selected as part of my faculty degree showcase on this Thursday.
I will tweet some part of the script and add some page inside the app.
Best of luck to me!

Physical Representation. [WIP 3]
Hello, i redid my leds to a bigger scale for my last part of the application's movement - I'm Here.
I solder the leds according to the instructions from instructable.com. It supposed to be like this, but i mixed up the negative and positive position of the leds so ended up something like this but is still a 8 x 10 leds matrix.
Took me around 4days to finished up the whole thing, i guess i am slow when it comes to all this circuits and soldering. Soldering is not easy and almost got me crazy but i did it in the end, i'm very happy and kinda think that soldering is fun.

Soldering the leds, anode all facing up and cathode down.
Solder all the anode leads in a row first.
My tiny workstation.
Kinda in trance while soldering later on.
Sorry no photos taken about the connecting cathode column.
This is the multiplexing.
Later on connect all the necessary wires to the arduino board.
Make sure you know which row or column goes to which pin.
And it works! Blink!
Here i follow the tutorial from this site.
Leds matrix in the installation.
This photo credit goes to Khairul Anwar.
Sadly, me and xavier unable to connect the leds matrix to communicate with the processing. Any suggestions? From one pc connects with the leds matrix retrieve data from another pc with processing (input data from users) will affect the leds. This is what i trying to achieve for now.

Physical Representation. [WIP 2]
After much mind wrecking moments, figuring and understanding the logic of the circuit and soldering (wont stick properly, burned the board, etc !!), finally the leds panel work! Now i have a better understanding of the whole matrix and multiplexing thing, next going to work on a bigger scale and hopefully text scrolling to display the msges of different users from my hearbeats tagging data.
Definitely need to learn how to arrange the wire nicely and present it in a better way. Should i install it in the wall? thinking thinking.
Some of the leds not functionable. @@
After doing it, the mechanism is actually quite easy but took me some time to learn it. Hopefully the next one would be better and faster. :)
ahh~ the smell of burned wireees~
*sorry for the bad quality vids and image...my better camera phone gone with the wind and my dslr is not with me.

The flow.
Down to finalizing the content and the flow of how user should experience my installation. It might be like a story or chapters that they have to experience and participate in it.
1. Brief introduction of my concept.
2. User input their heartbeat to mark and form their existence in the digital world.
3. Movement 1: Wormhole - Dozens of other hearts floating around in the wormhole, waiting to be discovered.
4. Movement 2: Whisper - Get a insight on what others thinking, get to know them.
5. Movement 3: Connect - See how people connects with just one heartbeat away from each other.
6. Movement 4: Distance - Ask anyone to participate together in a conversation while detecting each other heartbeats, if the heartbeats value reach certain graph, it will trigger the light to blink.
Finalize flow:
1. Main menu
2. User input their heartbeats and key in their data
3. Movements:
Wormhole- I use the Internet metaphoric as a wormhole, a hypothetical tunnel bridges the web worlds and the real world. Instead of becoming the route of millions of data transferring, all the individual's digital heart representations floating in the wormhole, passing by each other, trying to leave their marking in the route.
Whisper- Here user can catch a glimpse on what others are thinking and feeling. It feels like the person is whispering their thoughts to you and here you can get to know the person a little bit more.
Weave- Here is like a human web. The system will sort out and display the 6 person that have the most similar heartbeats value to the user from the database. From the big pool of people from the wormhole narrow down to the specific individual for each person. (6 degree of separation)
I'm here- The final stage of the movement is the physical representation of the individual. I used LEDs matrix (as the rep)to show that a single normal daily thing (like lamp, leds table)can be intriguing too. I wan to show that if the user(from location A) click on the selected heart, it will trigger the leds to display pattern(at location B). The people at location B when they see the leds starting to bling, maybe they can sense the presence of someone being there even though they are at different location.

Physical Representation. [WIP]
I wish i have a logical brain now to guide me in reading the circuits and understanding the 1010010 term.
The another set of 5mm leds i bought i tried to solder on the perf board but the holes of the perf board is too small, can't really solder nicely like the previous. I think i will buy a new perf board.
