Pecha Kucha.

The things i prepared to share for my pecha kucha presentation that i dint get to share with my mates, so here it is:

Experiment with Pachube and Arduino with the input and output of data simultaneously.
Thx to Anwar for experimenting together! (Pardon my lame simple explanation)
Look out the clear and easy to understand tutorial here!

Some of the things you can do by collecting data or using input and output information on physical objetcs (not just with Pachube, maybe some other data collecting methods):

Pulse. Which i posted last time when i stumbled upon this.

Pulse, visualize the emotion of human feeling in weblog like blogger. Then the list of emotions are compared to Robert Plutchik's theory of emotion. Each time a emotion was detected, the shape shifter machine will transform itself in a way that that the new volume represent the state of emotion in the Internet world. It captures this current emotional condition and gives it a physical representation.

This is a data sulpture by swedish duo artist called - Tomorrow's weather. The sculpture is fed by the forecast data of weather and the hues of the globe change colors and the light that shine in the building is like the premonition of tomorrow.

Tomorrow's weather combines modern technology with one's of nature most basic expression, the weather, the sculpture elaborate visual expression changes forever, just like the volatile nature of climate and future. (more info here)

or a more simple ways:

The balloons form the 3 dimensional digital data which composed of physical particles and show in a dynamic 3d display experience, Electric Moons:

Users can control the movement and lighting of each balloons.
Morphing 3d shapes and patterns. More info here.

Or it can be like sound experimental-performance thing, Atom ( by the same people from Electric Moons):

Is more like a sonic sounds performance art, manipulated in real-time.
The room is filled with helium balloons and evolve according to 4 channel of noises.
Through the placement, positioning and illumination of the balloons, the dynamic display of the sculpture is formed, which consists of physical objects (balloons), pattern of light ( led in the ballons), synchronize rhythmic sonic sounds. Check it out.

Must watch the videos:

Something that i look forward to see (or do?) here. I wan to do this!!

Oh ya. Pecha kucha is ペチャクチャ . Why not click this external link to know more about pecha kucha? Click HERE. Yesh the presentation above supposed to be just pure images and talk for 20sec for each slides with images, since i posting it in a blog so i added the notes. Have fun exploring!

Holy heart!

Oh my. This guy pawned me! I love it! Similar to mine (the heart part or maybe not) but different execution.

Check out his other projects too at here:

Emotions today cannot only be discovered in our own body parts or those of high developed animals. They also rush through another network that is not made of nerves and synapses but of wires and servers. On the Internet separate developing components contribute to a complex evolving system, that is far more than the sum of its parts and therefore very similar to an organism.

I love this.

An awesome song by Passion Pit. Something to lighten up the blog:

Makes you wanna have a stroll with the music. Can i be in this video? I like the style and the song. Care-free. Good Time. Another video, Zero by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Yes, walking on the street is my forte! ( but if the weather not too hot)

Twitter in real space!

Just now Anwar (Cheese) shared a very interesting website with me, is about Twitter Art Projects. Two of the projects caught my attention:

'Loud Tweets', Why tweets online when you can show off in real public space (works like internet btw):

Low cost and simple LED display! I think this is very fun, but if i were to wear this out with my tweets..i might feel weird if people keeps following me around. (like twitter follower! haha)

Another one is the 'Where is your art', a kinetic sound installation with talking roboto! The robot will talk about the twits that have the word "art" extracted from the twitter space, and it will dance too :

This is cool too! Similar to something that i want to do...in a way. I think twitter is a very good place to extract information :)

All videos and information are from CreativeApplication.net. Click here to find out more on Twitter Art Projects.

Time to share!

Hello. Thought of sharing one unique little camera (shared by Mr.Kokyong) :

I think this is quite interesting way of capturing photos. Imagine you don't have to take your pictures by aim and shoot with your own camera. This camera will just detect every moments and shoot on its own. :)

Click here to check this camera out!

Pssst: Norman, you might like it :) photograph + mobile device!

Something enlightening, for me.

Interesting.

Stumbled upon this during my internship period, a very interesting way of showing the data. In the WeFeelFine, they've been harvesting human feelings from blogs in the internet. The system search and retrieve any post entry that consists the phrases " I feel" or "I am feeling". All the data will then represent by different particles with different colors.

Nuff said, check out the site!:

Another amazing interactive installation from Jonathan Harris, collaborate with Sep Kamvar:

For more information check it out here:

I love how he shows human's feelings with unique movements.
